A Community Nursery
Established in 1992, West Wight Nursery is based on the site of St Saviour's Catholic Primary School in Totland and is a community nursery welcoming all of the West Wight community. The Nursery has a wide admission policy and is open to all who choose to attend, providing that spaces are available.
Staff at West Wight Nursery provide education and care within the Early Years Foundation Framework. Play underpins learning and development and staff provide a balance of child initiated and adult led play based activities to meet each child's developmental needs.

Children gain in skill and understanding through their play especially when they are able to share their enjoyment with an adult and to talk about their discoveries. Every child's learning journey is documented in a personal file which is given to the parents/ carers when the child leaves us.
