Established 1992, West Wight Nursery is based on the site of St. Saviour's Catholic Primary School in Totland and is a community nursery welcoming all children between the ages of 3 months to 12 years.
Staff at West Wight Nursery provide education and care within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Play underpins learning and development and staff provide a balance of child initiated and adult led play based activities to meet each child's developmental needs. "Children thrive in the nursery and are enabled to achieve at the very highest levels. Children flourish in all areas of their development and develop the skills they need for life long learning." - Ofsted 2022.
Children gain in skill and understanding through their play, especially when they are able to share their enjoyment with an adult and to talk about their discoveries. Every child's learning journey is documented in a personal file which is given to the parent/ carer when the child leaves us. This provides a lovely record of the child's time with us.
We are pleased to announce we are providing HAF funded places this summer holiday for children whose families are eligible for certain benefits ie. Pupil Premium, Economic free school meals, Refugee status, social services care. Activities and lunch are provided.
We will provide this service Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm. Please book at the office. Limited spaces.

The Isle of Wight Council is committed to giving all children and young people high quality education that enables them to make progress and achieve well. For children and young people aged 0 to 25 with special educational needs or a disability, additional or specialist support may be needed to enable this. To support the process of identifying the range of provision and advice that is available, the Isle of Wight Local Authority have published a local offer.
